About Shriya

Shriya Rana is an award-winning film director and post producer based in Los Angeles, whose career spans film, television, microdrama, and AI-native entertainment.

She studied film directing at UCLA and graduated during the COVID-19 pandemic. With traditional production largely at a standstill, she entered the industry through post-production, beginning her career at CBS and Paramount. There, she worked across high-profile television and entertainment projects, including late-night programming, scripted and unscripted television, and Paramount+ sports.

While building her career in post, Shriya continued directing and developing her own films. Her work has screened at festivals across the U.S. and internationally, earning recognition for both her directing and her films. Ayesha received multiple directing awards, more than 50 festival selections, and the Audience Choice Award at UCLAxFF. Her latest film, The Serene Place (Where the Stars Poop), premiered at UCLAxFF'25 and received the Audience Choice Award, was recognized by the City of Los Angeles, and was nominated for the 2026 Filmic Brilliance Award.

Her post-production career later expanded into vertical and microdrama storytelling. At DramaBox, she managed post-production across 40+ projects, overseeing the process from editorial through final delivery and coordinating teams across editing, VFX, sound, color, QC, and delivery.

Shriya has also worked at the forefront of AI-driven entertainment. For ReelNova, she created and produced the AI-native series Betrayed in My Wedding Dress, taking the project from concept and creative development through production and final delivery. The series went on to reach approximately 90 million views. Her digital storytelling work also includes serving as Post Producer on WEBTOON’s latest hit microdrama series Rules for Dating Trash, expanding her experience across emerging forms of serialized entertainment.

In 2024, Shriya founded Snowburn Productions, an independent production company focused on developing original stories across film, television, microdrama, AI entertainment, and emerging formats.

Her work sits at the intersection of cinema and emerging technology, with a focus on emotionally grounded stories, distinctive visual worlds, and new ways of connecting stories with audiences.
